What makes good shopfitting – and therefore a good shop design? Functionality, sensible product presentation, good orientation and, of course, a good story! With the shop concept for FC Augsburg we wanted to achieve all of this and decided to carry the club’s branding through into the store.
Pop-up shop
On a small footprint, the mini shop makes a maximum impression as a pop-up shop. Functionality and emotion in the smallest of spaces. A warm, stylish concept that could be integrated well into the VIP hospitality area. The lighting is laid out as a football pitch – a motif that reappears in the main shop.
Shop design – wall elements
The lighting concept is an adaptation of the football pitch, laid out across the entire floor area. Warm wood tones contrast with the bold colours of the jerseys. The wall system is highly flexible, and stadium seats and large picture walls bring variety and emotion to the shop.
Central area and children’s zone – shopfitting
The children’s zone is fitted with small stadium seats arranged as a grandstand. Here the kids can watch the Augsburger Puppenkiste puppet theatre or the current match.
Heritage wall – shop design
The history of the football club matters greatly to members and fans. So we captured that history in photographs on the heritage wall that frames the fitting rooms.
Checkout area – shopfitting
The individual lighting concept is visible here at the checkout as well. It frames the large counter that fans flock to on match days. A large metal logo looks elegant and commanding. Small accessories can also be displayed in the checkout area; they organise the queues and avoid chaos in front of the tills.
